Everything you always wanted to know about the HB&B Sub Club but were afraid to ask...

How much?!

These are no ordinary subscription boxes. If you want a cheap box stuffed with clearance and close to date products, there are plenty around. But with the HB&B Sub Club, we’re talking seriously great selections - award winners, limited edition, the beers, wines and hot sauces getting all the love from those who know, the kind of things we get very excited about. You also save considerably on what you'd pay for these products individually - up to 20% depending on the box and the length of subscription.

Can I choose my own beers/wines/sauces? What if I don't like dark/sour/hoppy/red/white/hot/mild [insert style here] beers/wines/sauces?

No. The HB&B Sub Club boxes have been especially curated to showcase a wide range of styles and expand your horizons, but if you'd prefer to select your own products, just head to our online shop and go crazy.

Do I have to get the box every month?

The All Killer No Filler beer box is a monthly subscription; the Natural Wine Killers wine box is available either monthly or bi-monthly; the Burns Box hot sauce box is available either bi-monthly or quarterly. You can easily skip a box if you’re heading away or have ended up with too much beer or wine in your fridge.

How do I skip a month?

Simply login into your account and click on Billing Schedule to see all of your upcoming orders. To skip a delivery, click Skip next to the delivery you’d like to skip.

What’s all this 'membership' business?

So that we can assure all HB&B Sub Club members get the very best beers and wines, we cap the number of boxes available, increasing the numbers as and when stocks allow. Once we've reached our limit, anyone wanting to sign up after that will have the opportunity to go on a waiting list and will be notified when a place frees up.

When will my box be sent out?

Natural Wine Killer wine boxes are sent out on or around the 8th of each month. All Killer No Filler beer boxes are sent out on or around the 15th of each month; Burns Box hot sauce boxes are sent out on or around the 22nd of each month.

When will I be billed?

When you sign up, your first payment will be taken immediately. Auto-renew payments are billed on the 5th of the month for the wine box; the 10th for the beer box and the 18th for the hot sauce box. You'll always get an email heads up before the payment is taken.

Does my subscription automatically renew?

Yes. Monthly and bi-monthly rolling subscriptions will automatically renew each month until you decide to stop. If you have purchased a 3, 6 or 12 month pre-paid subscription, these will renew at the end of your selected period (don't worry, you'll get a heads-up first). You can cancel or skip a box at any time. If you're buying a subscription for a gift then choose one of our GIFT SUBSCRIPTIONS that do not renew.

Tell me more about the shipping.

 

No need to do the math. Shipping is included with every subscription. Beer & Wine boxes going to Northern Ireland or the Scottish Highlands are more expensive. Please get in touch and we'll sort this out for you.

Do I have to get it shipped?

No - simply select the pick up at shop option when you sign up and choose to collect from either our Peckham or Deptford shops. For space and storage reasons, however, you’ll need to be able to collect your box from your chosen shop within 7 days of being notified that it’s packed and ready for pick-up, unless by prior arrangement.

Why is it so expensive to Northern Ireland/Scottish Highlands?

We ask this question all the time. Who knows why couriers charge such crazy fees? But they do. You can be assured we make no money from our courier charges - in fact, we absorb some of the cost to make it more reasonable for you.

Can I cancel my subscription?

Of course. All you need to do is log into your account and click the cancellation button, and your deliveries will cease. If you’ve signed up to a 3, 6 or 12 month subscription and bow out early, you’ll be refunded the remainder of your subscription in line with the number of boxes you've received (e.g. if you've signed up for a 12-month subscription but cancel after three months, you'll be refunded minus the cost of a 3-month subscription, not at the cheaper 12-month rate). Please do take the time to let us know why you’ve cancelled as we greatly appreciate receiving your feedback..

I have an HB&B discount code - can I use it with the subscription boxes?

Sorry, no. The boxes are already discounted, so you're already winning.

Will you be doing vegan or gluten-free beer boxes?

Not as an ongoing subscription box at this time, but please feel free to get in touch with us and we can put together a selection for you.
