Donzoko

Founded in 2017 by Reece Hugill, Donzoko is a brewery on a mission to bring modern, unfiltered German-inspired lagers to the UK. After starting as a nomadic brewer, and operating out of locations in Hartlepool and Edinburgh, Donzoko has now found a permanent home in Newcastle upon Tyne. The brewery's philosophy is centred on precise execution and a deep respect for traditional brewing methods, with a focus on cold fermentation and the use of a house acid culture to achieve a super-clean, crisp finish. While they are celebrated for their flagship lager, Northern Helles, they also explore other styles, all with the goal of creating what they call "foamy beers for good times."
