New stuff in store, 2 October

A strong week for new boozy goodness. New beers, our new Autumn/Winter (sorry) wine selection, new sauces... What a time to be alive!

Following our ridiculously fun natural wine tasting last night, we're pleased to unveil our new season wine offering. We’re slimming down our craft cider selection for the colder months (fear not, your favourites will still be there) and bulking up our red wine range, with a cheeky new white or two thrown in as well. Highlights from last night’s event include crowd-pleasing natural reds Mas de Libian Cotes du Rhone Bout d’Zan Rouge 2014 and Bernade Navarro Ramblis Monastrell Tinto Seco 2013, as well as the glorious Arndorfer Gruner Velltliner Strassertal 2014 and a New Zealand pet nat rose sparkling, The Naturalist from Cambridge Road. We’ve also added some new Aussies to the list, including what we think will be one of our best-selling wines, the exceedingly drinkable Running With Bulls Tempranillo.

Lots of favourites return this week, such as Brew By Numbers’ Brown Ale (which we can’t currently fit on shelf - ask us!), Orbit’s exceptional rauchbier Leaf, One Mile End’s Ancho Cocoa Stout and Westbrook’s IPA and One Claw Pale Ale in cans. New arrivals include 3 Fonteinen Oude Kriek (look for it in our Belgian section - opposite the fridges if you’ve never looked around!), Arbor’s Yakima Baby, a lower-ABV (well, 6%) version of their phenomenal Yakima Valley IPA, and Brewdog’s Hinterland, an oatmeal stout so sumptuous that we ordered a case immediately on tasting the first sip of the sample.

The chilli wall continues to deliver the goods! We’ve restocked fully on all your favourites and also welcome in a new-look range from our friends at The Hungry Chef. We love these relishes and they look and taste better than ever with new branding and new varieties to choose from - Caribbean Hot Pepper, Chilli, Mint & Coriander, Mexican Smokey Chipotle and Thai Green Chilli & Coconut. We’ll have these on tasting on Saturday and to make it even more tempting, because we’ve still got a handful of the old-look sauces, if you buy a new-look sauce we’ll throw in an old-look one for free until we run out. Sorted!
